The Al Hathboor Group found its inception through the keen insight and visionary outlook of its founder – Late Saif Obaid Al Hathboor. Starting with a single textile business in 1954, he explored newer avenues and tapped vistas of opportunity, paving way for the Group’s success.
The success saga continued with the advent of oil in the Gulf, marking Al Hathboor’s first business expansion into the air conditioner and refrigerator business. The early seventies witnessed the addition of a motor spareparts unit, soon followed by the launch of one of the earliest supermarkets in the UAE.
Over the years, Chairman Saif Obaid Al Hathboor’s keen business acumen complemented by his clever choice of products led to rapid business expansion. The passion to meet the rising industrial and commercial requirements in the UAE and the Gulf added substantially to the Group’s growth.
Subsequently, the fast-expanding business necessitated streamlining of activities of various divisions. This resulted in the formation of the Al Hathboor Group in the year 1982. Since then, Al Hathboor has grown from strength to strength and today, it is one of the leading business houses in the Gulf. Al Hathboor’s diversified areas of business include electro-mechanical products, fashion and beauty products, car care products, industrial maintenance and oilfield materials, laundry and supermarket equipment, food products and real estate, among others.
Today, the Group is proactively involved in marketing, distribution and re-exporting of internationally-acclaimed brands and is proud of an extensive product portfolio across various sectors. This confirms the Group`s position as a frontrunner in the region.
